My boss has a 05, 350z with an intake and i ran it on the dyno and he got 236hp peak. I put my two weeks notice in because im graduated and im going back home so were going to set a race up. I drive a 99 gtp with flow masters a down pipe and intake so its not modded too much. So i think this might be a good line up but I will soon find out and ill keep it updated.

Let me know if you have had any past experience with 350z's?

    Just run the guy.

Moreso...if it is an auto car...and you can drive...your car will at least be faster through the 1/4.

That will be a very close race, the driver mod will come into factor in that one.

It's his race to win or lose. While you do have a little more torque, you also have more then enough extra weight over him to cancel that advantage.

Actually go to the scales with both cars, you'd be suprised... the 350z are rated upto 3600 curb weight which is slightly more than ours, the track versions are lower so it depends on the options and all that. Not to mention keep in mind a car with a full tank is slower than an equal car with a 1/4 tank of fuel.

Also you could really win if he doesnt know how to launch that manual tranny.... granny shifts with those cars are worthless, gotta know how to play with the clutch, and make the shifts. Auto is just roll and go

if your car isnt fast enough granny shifting then it isnt fast enough. pounding gears is for slow cars, like mine.

Take out the passenger seat and back seats along with any junk in the car (spare tire) before running, it'll help a bit and you're going to need it against that 6 speed.

HAHA you know its getting serious when i have all of seats taken out except mine. He has the base package 350z and he dosent like to push it like i would. When i ran it on the dyno i ran it all the way way up to 6700 to get that 236hp and he was like "man you were really getting it up there wernt you i was watching you through the back windshield". He wasnt that mad when i explained to him thats what had to be done to get that 236hp and he just never drives it like that.

    I smell a winner

How can you be afraid of someone who doesn't drive their car. Shifting a manual during regular driving conditions and during racing are completely different. You have to know how to handle the car during the clutch release of a 7k shift too, the back end can get squirrely quickly and before you know ,.... wall
