Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
the idiot who rear ended my gf's GP insurance company isn't gonna pay out for an OEM bumper to get put on....... BULL****! although they said they will have a refurbished one with the engraving on the bumper... need to call ABRA now and see if this is true and if it will.
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
Contact your insurance company and complain. The car is to be in the same or better condition once fixed. Tell them using non-OEM parts is not going to fly and they will force the issue.
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
so her insurance company? don't bother with calling ABRA?
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
Yeah. Call her insurance and tell them you are not happy with the quality of parts/work and see what they can do.
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
the email she got back saying that the refurbished bumper that the idiots insurance company is going to cover has the engraving in it. you think i could get an OEM out of this by calling her agent and complain? the other agent said they won't give a new OEM bumper because it's not a new car....

Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
its gonna be a refurbished... basically one that is reconditioned that is from a car that had front end damage.. so it'll have the engraving on it.. :)

"...estrogen is, for all intents and purposes, crazy juice so potent Timothy Leery wouldn't even have touched it in his most acid-filled state. Let me repeat that- estrogen is the reason that one guy I know has literally had his house burned down, his credit card stolen and used to buy bomb parts, been stabbed repeatedly in the dead of night while sleeping, and gotten the clap. Well, maybe the last one was the fault of testosterone, but now we're quibbling. Oh, and my buddy? Those were three different women. Our experiences thus led us to institute a policy as roommates that if one of us yelled "I LOVE IT!" at the top of our lungs, the other was to kick the ****ing bedroom door in and bash the broad with a ball bat if anything appeared life threatening. We had to replace both door frames and doors when we moved out."

So, last weekend I attended the Halloween party at my church. Well honestly I haven't attended church in probably 4 or 5 years but most of my family still attends, but anyway my nephew was dressed up as Spiderman with the suit with the built in muscles, mask and everything. My cousin wanted to take a picture and when she did the flash went off. My nephew with a straight face pulled his mask up and said "Wait, I think I blinked."

So I traded in my VW CC on a 2014 Ford Escape. I was having a very hard time selling my VW. No one wanted a 30k mile modded VW with 300wph. So just turned it in to a ford dealership and left with this.

Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
Thanks. I hope it's much better than my POS VW. This has AWD and a tow package. So that will be fun.
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
So the VW CC is a POS?
Aesthetically, I find the VW CC awesome. Always wanted one, but not if they are POS.
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
Well stuff started going bad. Window switch, paint coming off buttons and trans issues.
With how modified the engine was and how hard I used to drive it I should have modified the trans.
I had the trans rebuilt once and since then it was never the same. The rebuild was free at the dealer even with car modded.
It is a good looking car. The fit and finish is awesome. The quality not so much.
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
Looking over the service records for my GTP. I noticed the front one was replaced under recall, but the rear one was never during the life of this car. I was thinking as good maintence since 100k is only just a little more than 10k mile away I would replace the rear valve cover.
So how difficult is it to do one of these?
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
They're both pretty easy, you just have to move a bunch of stuff around to get to them though.

its not all that bad, but why fix what aint broken? the recall only does the front vc. thats so dumb. if one can leak why cant the other one?
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
I'd like to catch it before it leaks. It is an original 13 year old gasket. Probably going to leak sooner than later.
