Baked two butter cakes, cannot wait to devour with a glass of milk :th_lickface:
i got to go in for jury duty tomorrow, lets hope they don't want me......
Work has been he!! this week. Customer came to pick up his system and do a trial run on it, supposed to be easy peasy. But no, the mills keep breaking. Shear bolts are shearing for no reason and the nubs that hold the dies in place on the bodies are breaking off. It has been an awful 2 days. Today, every time a bolt broke it was...oh sh!t...not again.
I sure hope tomorrow goes better or we can figure out what the heck is going on. We've never had these issues happen before, let alone keep happening continuously when the customer is watching. :th_nervous:
One of those times when I wish I could read minds...but I probably don't want to know what the guy is thinking.
Every time I look at it sitting in the lab I think, that is one expensive paper weight....
I need a drink :th_beer-slam:
I think here they do some sort of thing where if you're called, they guarantee not to call you again for 10 years. I think that's what I heard from a coworker who recently got called for jury duty.
I haven't been called up yet but I've been a registered voter since I was 18. I know every one seems to HATE it and DREAD it but I think it would be kinda neat to serve on a jury. My opinion might change once I'm in the position but I still think it would be neat as of yet. Not fun, and not that I'd WANT to, but I wouldn't hate it. That's all.
Bloop
Got a doc appt at 8am tomorrow. FML
The only cool thing about serving on a jury is telling the judge to go stuff it. From what I understand, everyone just passes off all cases as guilty, but as a juror, you can do some cool things to upset the system.
