well by finish I mean just smoothed out. I can take care of letting it dry and priming and painting. and honestly i could put off the painting i just want the material smooth and solid.

Likely when your Uncle slapped the first 2 inches of compound in there..it was smooth. As it dries you get a little movement. Typically it shrinks a bit. It dries...you add a little more and let that dry. It's super easy overall because with a nice sized putty knife, it pretty much makes it smooth with the wall and requires only a light sanding.
Randomly I looked on Craigslist in the free section. That led to a truckload of dirt to fill in some of the low spots of the backyard. Tonight might be another load.
There is free dirt around us all the time on CL.
I'm back GPF! I know you probably missed me, lol
I would have..but ya kept in contact...lol
At the hospital right now with a co worker. He cut his finger a little and needs stitches and I'm getting paid to play on my phone.
nothing wrong with that, i do it on the daily though lol
Phone..that's such a small screen.
Kicked back in the comfy chair.. on a real pc.
Nothing is more frustrating than trying to talk to someone who speaks spanish and their English sucks. Then they can't understand what I'm trying to tell them and I'm struggling to understand him. He then gets pissy when I don't know Spanish. Dude, I live in Indiana, not Mexico.
First snow of the season... the time when people forget how to drive in snow even though they do it every year lol

Wow I can't believe that. And this week it's been in the 80s here. Though tomorrow it cools back down, yay
I love snow, but alas :( We don't get it. Still 80* outside, clear skies, I washed the car yesterday like its still summer.
Life is too short to be safely removing flash drives.
I always wonder why they hire people to call me to sell me something and their English is really poor. We hired a Mexican to deal with our customers that speak Spanish. I wonder how the English speaking customers feel when he calls them. He's a friend of mine and I can't understand him half the time.
My neighbor is forecasting the end of the world next week. Because there's a chance this damn storm is going to come all the way up here and destroy us.
She predicts the end of life as we know it pretty often. Last year, she screamed from her soap box and we did get hammered. Not sure what trees are left to fall on any wires..lol Feels safe to me.
i got a friend whos off the plane Italian. hes here 20 years, ive know him for about 12 now. sometimes it can still be a bit tough to figure out wtf hes talking about.
the one that kills me to this day, and i bust his balls for it still, is he was trying to say strawberry, but was saying stwawbarry. and drawing out the barry part. im like whos this Barry?
when a kid in school back in italy he learned the queens English, and we all know how funny they talk.
We've got a few German grad students where I work. Their English is good, one of their accents is actually not that bad, but I've heard them use German when they don't know the English lol
i think the funnest thing to hear is when my friends on the phone talking to this family, or even in person, because they can get their point back and fourth faster i guess, but in the middle of all this Italian dialect you hear words that just dont translate, like scott, or sawsall or dewalt, or a different mower brand, cracks me up. but at least you can sorta figure out whats being talked about.
i used to live in the apt above his family, and i could hear them talking all the time, funny thing about Italian is you don't know if they are telling a joke or fighting, till you hear a door slam or laughter. lol
Texted a guy that listed free clean fill. Went and got a truckload yesterday. Going to bring the trailer today. It's er uh..topsoil that he's taking out to put loam for a garden. Uh..ok, thanks!
Will be getting a good work out this afternoon.
Home ownership..it's either costly, a workout or both.
