Yea cleaned it, and the throttlebody. Light was still on, so I went to work the next day and cleared the codes, light went off... went to lunch and it came back on. Same code.
I had little hope as the sensor was really pretty and clean when I pulled it out. I use a dry filter not an oiled K&N, its just to dusty around here for that. Sensor wire was bright silver and not dirty at all, but I sprayed it anyways. Then took off the TB and cleaned it up too, also wasn't THAT dirty, carboned up a little but came clean with just 1 rag and a couple sprays of B12.
I don't think the sensor is completely out, but shorting itself slowly lol. If I let the car idle the light won't come on after codes are cleared, but when driving it doesn't change frequency properly I guess, need to get my volt-meter and test it just to be sure before I buy a new one or con Bill into sending me one off his magic shelf of parts ;) Car still drives well, slight miss/surge at idle, but driving is ok... but I haven't WOT since the light came on, don't want problems at 5500 rpms lol. Either way needs to be replaced ASAP
Look a few posts up Sheffer.. I snagged the one off Smutty when Danielle found out she didn't need it. I was begging for one myself.
Hamburg be like 30 minutes from me. its the west side of my neck of the woods lol
Trying to find internets on this car show. Harder than expected. Think it's... somthing something Hamburg Fire Dept.... something Pavillion?
I need to check my Box O' Old parts, see if I have one from the engine swap way back when. I don't know if it works, or if it will even work. Remember our convo about the difference in the supercharger Tee, I think this motor is a 98 model. I used my 99 Throttlebody and all the sensors on it because I knew they worked, just threw the old TB in a box with other stuff... but maybe... just maybe the old MAF will work?
Ima check this weekend when I go by mom's, but if not then I will hit you up on that one for sure. New ones are just stupid expensive, even discounted thru the dealership is crazy high.
The world of proteins. Not happy about all the caffeine in muscle milk so next time its MHP Up Your Mass.
98 would be old style maf, 99 would be new.
Good advice. Luckily, I'll be in a truck that's towing the dyno. It moves well, but shouldn't move that well.
^Truth... proof.

Good mix, guys are great for pop mixers... but yea... all the same ****.
Um, think it was Hamburg Fire Dept Pavillion or something? I found a show listed for earlier this month, but nothing for this weekend... maybe it's a rain date. Lemme get at the boss... accidentally deleted all my texts. But yeah, I'm the dyno crew. Filthy guy with a bandanna on his head. Can't miss me.
No, this Saturday in NJ. Oh, and we'll have a competitor dyno there, too, I think. So make sure you bring the business to me :D
found it.
this area is getting up in elevation. high point state park is not far off. that would be the highest part of NJ. not much compared to some elevations in PA im sure lol
