That's the kinda stuff that happens when D tries to send crappy weather to me while I'm in PA at a wedding. I told my buddy as he was concerned about rain/bad weather that I'd keep the skies clear and weather decent for his day. That's right, I can and do control the weather where I am. Hooked it up for him, which is likely why everywhere around that part of PA got screwed over badly.
You can all thank Danielle for it.
I still have no power at home. Will not be back on for another 5-7 days.....HOT
Koscoe, where are you in Ohio? Most of fort Wayne is being promised by Wednesday. Van wert sounds like they gotta rebuild a lot and are without power till Friday.
And Bill, glad to have you back. We missed you!
I like these jeans.

Your son Rip is on line Toot!
We're sending 200 hydro workers to the states to help restore power. I think it said Washington tho
Byesville in southeast Ohio where I-70 and I-77 intersect. Some parts of my small town have power and some (like me) do not. Cambridge is a cit bigger then the one I live in and some of the people there won't have power until then or later. We are staying at my parents house with power and central air. My dogs have to stay at our house since they are not allowed at my parents. We go check on the frequently to make sure they are ok and have plenty of water. Is the twice in two years this has happened. I am very thankful that my parents house if big enough for my three and my parents.
Some friends of our appt was pretty much destroyed though. They lived in the second oldest building in Cambridge. It is awful. On one street the "wind" ripped the roof off of NAPA, a tire shop, completely demolished a church and pretty much destroyed the building the appt was in. I have never seen "wind" tear down a building like it did the church. Thankfully no one was hurt.
Wow. Sounds like you guys are lucky. It's good when you have someplace to go.
It's bad in places here. My boyfriends, sisters hubby keeps whining and complaining about no power cuz he's without internet and ac. I finally told him, look around you at the other 100,000 people that don't have power. That wind could have taken your roof off, then how would you feel?
In October we had that freak snow storm here that knocked out a lot of power, destroyed buildings, slaughtered most of the trees etc. We wished it was warm weather....Most were worried about pipes etc freezing and keeping warm.
Hell...Costco put the generators on sale, I was thinking about buying one.
We have a giant tree in our front yard that only had a few stick that fell out. It's hot out that's for sur, but I am not going to b!tch becasue it could have been alot worse. Out deep freeze is holding up well. We stuffed 4 bags of ice in there Saturday. I think we will have to move the contents out soon though.
