Everything I read says OnStar was standard on all '05 Grand Prixs, my '05 GT doesn't have it. What gives?

I can't commend on Pontiacs, but I can share what I know with mine. OnStar was standard for Impalas in 2004, but mind doesn't have it. I checked, and it was sold under a fleet contract (one of the few LS models for it to happen) to Enterprise as a business car for one of their CEOs (explains the 26k highway miles in its first year and a half before I bought it).

Fleet contract vehicles didn't get OnStar. Maybe a similar deal with yours?

I doubt it's a fleet car, but possible, could just have been a "didn't want" I guess. Anybody have a clue what OnStar delete code is?

I know On Star on the newer model GPs is integrated into the Radio controls, so I am not sure if you could just unplug it without some kind of ramifications. As far as a "delete code?" I think your dealer would be the only ones to know such a thing if it exits. Just a thought on that.

On my 03 it had the OnStar, but I never used it and now that the old analog is no longer being used, I am gonna see how to go about removing the box from the trunk.

If it was standard, there would have to be some RPO code to delete it.
