How do you feel about General Motors these days?

now that they allegedly "repaid" the government...maybe a little worse, seeing as they probably setup a plan to pay it off in a given amount of years...hence, raising prices of almost everything GM related...
I wish they were a little more focused on performance, but as far as design wise, I like what they are doing with their cars, quality has really gone up.
dissapointed with the constant use of cheap material. started a long time ago but it hasent changed, if anything gotten worse. also the lack of newer things there trying excluded are the volt and the new z28 just seems like everyone else is gaining leaps and bounds in quality and technology and gm is making a tiny babyset. also saddened by the lack of a reliable factory turbo powerplant. the cobalt was ok but keep going. hyundai has the boosted sonata, theres boosted crossovers, fords ecoboost in the f150 spanks the silverado in every way. time for gm to get in the turbo game for real. just my opinion
GM does have a large selection, just a matter of being able to afford some of the nice stuff they have like a Cadillac CTS-V wagon
About the same as I always have been.
Not a fan. I grew up in a ford family. Even though we currently own 3 GM's I still would rather have Ford.
I think they need some more "low end" performance models. Hopefully they come out with the cruze ss since they cancelled the cobalt. The regal turbo is a step in the right direction, but not exactly what i had in mind. They have the ZR1, CTS-V, and ZL1, thats enough for super high performance cars. maybe almost too much.
well for one my dad has worked at gm for 27yrs. only top 1/3 seniority in his plant make 28/hr. everyone else is 14/hr
Plus your initial statement holds no ground seeing as how they were paid the same since the dawn of time. i'd blame engineering before the overpaid assembly techs
and before you ask, yes this is american uaw not the caw im talking about
unions are for commies
Born 'n bred.
^ that haha
