Well hell if everyone had your attitudes nothing would ever get done. but hey the hell with it just follow the crowd and don't bother. Just delete the damn thread and let all buy toyotas and buicks and move on that seems like what everyone wants.. you all are a part of a community in which was created for a pontiac made vehical but yet you cant fight for them. just forget it everyone like you people will be the reason they never came back.. just so you know GM DEMANDED that they get to keep the Pontiac name for future use.. so hey if we show no interest then why should they bother keeping it... but hey that on all of you.... as for me i'm signing it.

I am not demanding they bring back the name to have more platforms of the same... Im saying bring the performance of pontiac in under a different name.

we are all involved in a platform that is and forever will be dead, not the company being around. you think they are going to make a grand prix like we have? no, they won't.

I would love to see the new TAs rival the Maro SS and new Mustangs. I want to own a G8 or a GTO, but I can't sign it and feel right about it. I love the pontiac lines but even if they came back I wouldn't be able to buy one.

Frankly unless you have the finances to buy one, should they start back, I don't think you should sign it. "Yay, they came back, maybe in 5-6 years the new TA will be cheap enough I can buy one used for 10-15k", that's not going to help sales RIGHT NOW should they start it back up, and most of the people signing it don't have the financial situation to actually drop $$$ on one.

Hey bill. No homo but can I marry you? XD

Your obviously well read. As anyone on this site, I'd love to see pontiac come back but kinda for the reasons bill said, I don't wanna see it resurrected. In It's absence I want to see what new comes up.

GM went out of their way to keep Chevy ahead of Pontiac going to back to the 1960's. I remember reading that they chose to kill Pontiac over Buick because Buick is a popular high end car in China. Using American tax dollars to save a car company concerned with selling cars in China.

I don't believe that's true at all. They already had new things coming out for Buick like the new regal, the design time and production time was there. They would have taken a large loss if they gave that up to save Pontiac.

Buicks are targeted to a totally different person than pontiac was. Pontiac was more for the younger crowd. Which is the same market that Chevy was going after. Buick is more for the older and refined people. Why cut out that whole segment of the market for Pontiac?

Pontiac will never be back. End of story.

I don't think the whole brand is geared towards younger people like pontiac was. I think they are trying to remove the stigma of a grandma brand with their new vehicles. They are trying to pick up some of the slack from pontiac.
