i have a few questions id like to ask people who know a lot about grand prix's or more then me at least haha. well first off here are the pics of my car..

    this was before...

    After

this is a 99 pontiac grand prix SE. not exactly happy its an SE. i would rather have a GT or GT Supercharged but i'll manage. i have a cherrybomb muffler but im changing that to a flowmaster very soon. didnt think the cherry bomb would sound as bad as it did! blue neon underbody (might change soon) any suggestions on a different color?? i have the euro tail lights and black corner lights which i am happy about. now im trying to see if this is possible or not.. maybe someone can help me out with it.. i was trying to see if u can buy the bumper (that doesnt come on the SE model but the GT or GT Supercharged) now if u dont know what im talking about.. its the thing that says pontiac on the bottom. i was thinking that it may be possible to modify it somehow because i love that look. the other thing i want to do to my car is get the chrome wheel trim that goes right above the wheel. i cant find it anywhere though. i cannot find chrome trim for my trunk either. any websites would help me out! thanks for your reponse! anything else that you think wouldmake this car look sweeter let me know..

what do u mean take it all off? i havent had this car for all that long. u dont think that this car could ever be turned into a racer with some money? right now obviously it isnt a racer car and i dont really have a problem with that.

Okay okay, never mind. The way you had your pictures label confused me. I though you were the one who put all of those stickers and crap on the car.

If your looking to build a 'race' car you might aswell just do a L67 swap, and yes. You can put a GT/GTP front bumper, rear bumper, and side skirts on that car an no one will ever know it's really a SE

    First off,

    Welcome to the site.

I am sure there is a vast majority of people on here that would hit there head against the wall to what has been done to your car. and some people on here that I am sure are plagued with questions to ask you. mainly WHY?

The SE is a good solid platform. it is easy to exchange power plants...anything is interchangeable. you are able to put the GT/P bumpers on your SE. I would go MagnaFlow exhaust, or Dynomax before Flowmaster. Flowmaster has a bad Drone while driving. I would have steered clear of the cherrybombs.......get a full catback exhaust that looks decent...WBS/ZZP/Intense...all offer good exhaust systems.

the back bumper is different from a GT than on your SE....you will have to replace the entire rear Fascia....bumper supports I believe are the same. where did the dark corners go? they were on the car in the before pick...but not after......those were a step in the right direction.

to me, I would get rid of the neons, all the decals, and exhaust....tint the tail lights make the car look nice, photogenic. I would also steer away from the chrome trim. pick up some nice alloy wheels, I have some crosslace ones for sale with tires in the classified section. if you have a question, feel free to ask. What kind of cars are around in your area? what part of Ohio do you live in? I used to live in Dublin(north west Columbus).

Good luck with your car. It is very reliable......

L67 swap? whats that? sorry i dont know all that much about cars. haha. yeah i really hate how the front of my car looks. hopefully i can maybe find a front bumper and rear bumper at maybe like a junkyard.. then i can sand it down and have my dad paint it because he recently painted a 1969 mustang mach 1 of his. im not sure how the side skirts would look though. because of the neons that are on it. not sure if they will still be seen with the side skirting

L67 is the name of the supercharged motor that comes in the GTP.

Honestly, I would take the neons off and put the side skirts that match the GT/GTP front and rear bumpers. It would look a TON better in my opinion.

Also, just so you know blue neons are illegal. Everywhere if I'm not mistaken.

Ok seriously not to be harsh but heres the truth.
Start by taking off those hubcaps, exhaust tip, underglow, and altezzas and burn them. Second don't put chrome trim on the car itll look horrible.

Oh and toss the pyles and that xplod amp in the fire too.

Anyways, lets get some more information from you first okay?

What motor does your car have?

And.... how serious are you about making this car fast? Just a quick daily driver, or do you want it to run like a bat out of hell?

well the thing about the neons in ohio is that they are legal.. as long as they dont reflect onto other cars. i had a blue neon license plate and i guess according to the cop they were illegal. but i asked him about the neons under the car and he said they were not. the side skirts would look nice i think too

Blue/Red neons are ILLEGAL. Federal law, not state or local. if any cop says otherwise...get it in writing so it will hold up in court. ask him to prove it as well. just because a cop does not pull you over does not mean they are legal..you havent ventured to a town where an officer knows better.

I've been through Youngstown a few times.

Is it the 3800 or the 3400 engine?

As far as drag racing for a career goes.... not really the best choice for a career unless you know the right people. For the most part you will probably loose money drag racing your car, most of us just to it for a hobby more than anything.

If you want it to be fast and look nice sell it or burn it and start over.

Cool, since you have a 3800 motor already all you have to do is a top swap. Meaning, putting the top end of a L67 (GTP Motor) on your motor. You will have to run a larger pulley than a GTP though because your engine is higher compression, but it doesn't mean you won't be able to make just as much power.
