shade the whole thing, make the darker parts almost black and barely even graze the lightest parts, trust me.

you did a great job with the shading inside the mouth. now its time to switch to a darker pencil and really make it all pop.

dragonballZ is where i really started drawing as well. you should look into different pencils and get a few good erasers as well. a kneaded eraser, a plastic eraser, and art gum. you wouldnt believe how different they are fromt the little pink tip on the end of your dixon.

pencils go like this.. you have your Bs or blacks these are softer leaded and are darker. the greater the value before the B the darker it is. so an 8B is extreamly dark when compared to a 2B. then there is your Hs or hard leaded pencils. these are lighter, and hold a tip longer. the higher the value the harder it is. then there is the hb which is roughly the equivelent to your number 2 pencil. i highly recomend you get a simple pencil kit from a craft store. its amazing the depth you can get from correctly using different pencils. you obviously have potential, dont waste it!
