Fat ass!
I like that pic!
Although I tend to be easy on my car (well.... sort of), I always wanted to do a badass smoky burnout. Maybe one of these days I hope. I figure a good break in with a set of Hooosier QTPs will be in order...
I would suggest you start off easy if you're afraid of breaking something (I imagine you're referring to your tranny) Stock sized tires and wheels! Goodyear Eagle LS 225/60R/16, I put them back on just for the purpose of doing the burnout. If you put on drag radials or slicks, you might be visiting Trannyman.
Well I was more worried when i had a stock tranny. Which I don't have anymore, It got swapped out in February. Keep in mind, the original tranny was still in good working order at 155,000 hard miles (used to race often the first few years I owned the car).
Old realible being pulled out...
Built tranny about to be installed
I now run a Built Tranny w/ 3.29s, ATI 3000 Stall, Hardened Input Shaft, 7/8" single chain, Hardened 4th shaft, etc etc.
Why no smoky burnouts? Been getting the car dialed in plus adding a few minor things along the way. Realibilty is the key for me, so is fun but one out weighs the other. Probably one of the many reasons why the car has 160,000 miles and I've had very little if any issues with it at all. Going on over 6 years now.
I hope to be hitting the track this fall on slicks. Probably be the only why I'll get a cool smoky burnout pic. I doubt i'll waste my Traction T/As for pics though...
ya know...your pictures have inspired me Curtis.
Been looking at my tires, and my front Nitto 555's are looking kinda thin as it is. Maybe I'll finish them off one of these days for the sake of a good picture.
