    Anyone have experience with ice racing? Im interested in getting into the sport but Im not sure what car to use. I was thinking of a small awd with turbo possibilitys.

    buy a heavily used WRX and work it over. they make great cars on the ice with the right tires. a bunch of guys i know go out on the lake with theirs every year on a little course they set up.

    any idea what yr they like? Im basically gonna start out on rubber then mod and then studs i was thinking a impreza but dont know anything about the motors or their potential

    all of the turbo motors have great power potential and can make an easy 300awhp with the right parts and tune. imprezas are what you want to look for since those are the most common with the turbo motors. the 02-03 models are starting to get fairly cheap, same kinda with the 04-05 model. anything 06+ is still gonna be fairly expensive. they hold their car value very well.
