It's been a slow day for me, so this is sadly the gayest thing I've heard/read today. I usually strive for gayer, faster...uh, gayer. I guess. I should get out more.
Oh I just thought of something gayer: Did you have trouble buying shirts/coats for your enormous arms? I gained like the tiniest bit of shoulder mass and suddenly getting dressed is an ordeal. Giving away a lot of shirts. This Christmas, I bought a 3XL winter coat and had it tailored down for not-a-giant-blueberry-person torso. This process is not ideal.
Tomorrow feels like a deadlift day. My deadlift days get something of an organic placement in my schedule any more if I'm not trying to peak (in which case I deadlift every third day or so), based on a few factors... primarily hate levels, lower back/hip soreness, and if anyone nearby is deadlifting (which may alter hate levels). I try to sneak at least four deadlift sessions in a month... they're definitely taking a backseat to my squats right now since I can skip deadlifts for a month and still crank them out, whereas I still squat girl weight and need to improve upon it. All the same deads are easily my favorite (and a little bit of an ego lift) and if I forget myself, I'll wreck my body on them and be sore as tits for three days.
Anyone else have a pet lift? Do I hear benchpressers?
Also, more thoughts, paracopyphrased from Jaime Lewis:
...basically that greater positive results come from working hard, not hardly working.Optimal training for an individual will not be "efficient" due to the fact that you will have to put more and more effort into lifting in order to transcend your previous bests. This coincides with the "Law of Diminishing Returns", which states that "in all productive processes, adding more of one factor of production, while holding all others constant, will at some point yield lower per-unit returns." Those lower returns, however, are necessary if progress is to continue.
Some people are confusing "optimal" and "efficient"- optimal training is training in which you're maximizing your output. "Efficient" training, on the other hand, is achieving the best possible result from a minimum of effort. As such, it is rare that "efficient" training will yield optimal results, due to the fact that so much more effort will eventually be necessary to continue your progress, and because of the delicate balance of man's internal systems it is difficult, if not impossible, to determine what will achieve the greatest output as increased effort is required.

I fill out XL shirts just fine. 2xl for hoodies. My one flannel is 3xl I dont care about the parachute look the 3x gives me if I am inside I dont wear it.
where do u see these enormous arms?
bio for you the pants need to come off
I got a bike back in Oct. I'm on my 3rd one now. This one's a keeper though. First bike was a Target bike. POS! I rode it until the rear hub started giving me problems and the tire rubs the frame some now. 2nd bike was too big. I gave it back to the guy that gave it to me and we swapped the parts / added new and better ones to a different frame and built my current steed.
Sette Reken
Knocked out a good cardio workout on Sat. 1 hour and 5 min cooldown netted 960 calories. Heart rate is coming back to me.
Didn't feel so hot this morning, skipped the morning workout and plan on going during the day. Probably hit the elliptical for speed to build up further. Spinning class tomorrow.
Ryan on edmunton, is that only if you are moving?
Going this afternoon was the right choice....
I was going to come in about 15-20 calories below, said the hell with that ...cranked the ramp and resistance, put the throttle down and spent the last 30 seconds cooling back down.
This right here is a personal goal of mine. Now I'll see if I can make it a consistent number. YEAH!
Thanks! I built it with the help of a friend last month. Got the frame and a few other parts used but there is some new gear on it too. It needs some cleaning currently. Wet weather has got some mud in places i can't get to unless I take a hose to it.
Trying to eat well today. Had to work a 16.5 hr shift yesterday due to the night guy calling in. Snacked a bit too much and I can really feel it and the scale reflected it this morning.![]()
I wish I was a part of this I dropped from 267 to 174 in about 4 months had an awesome diet and jogged every night! now I have extra skin to fill with muscles!
Impressive! Share that diet.
While jogging every night doesn't sound any fun to me, I've been considering the merits of getting a weight vest for the evening strolls.
I'm always on the lookout for cool lifter blogs. I stumble across interesting stuff every now and again. For you skinny dudes: ยป Ten Tips for Fall Mass Gain (Part One)
Quick question to anyone who knows the answer.
Im on my cutting stage to lose the love handles and get definition. I quit taking Monohydrate at the moment and im on Creatine Hcl (one week into use) because it states it doesnt retain water..
Now my question is, i have a tub of Gaspari SizeOn sitting in my room. Can i stack SizeOn (drink during your workout) with Hcl (take one hour before lifting)? or is that to much?
Either one or the other?
If you were cutting you wouldn't be on creatine.
Me personally I would cycle the creatine out for the size on. But no i don't know the actual answer lol
Lol for you skinny dudes... Basically... Me.
