but this is exactly what i've been ranting about.

    yes.

new cars look nice, but i feel as if, like hollywood, they've seemingly ran out of ideas and are stealing major design cues from other manufacturers.. smh. what has the design world come to..

I agree, look at the new impala it looks like this hear Ford. I like Chevy, but should have made it look kinda like the 05 SS. Those look pretty cool, and puting that new 3.6 300HP engine would make it a better car and a hot sell.

But yes again, the designers have all gone and gotten drunk and making there "Money Making" Designs.

Full circle pattern. We are on cycle #3 of car designs. Go back to the 50s with cars, all look similar and shared on ideas, differences yes, but alot of shared patterns. Then move to the 80s, same, boxy, ugly designs all shared. Now were out of ideas again, but the drugs will wear off in a few years and the designers will have some brilliant idea and we will move on, or be replaced. Notice a trend set of 30 years.... hrmmmmm
Again... go back to the 20s lol

Goes to my arguement with my best friend.

As car enthusiasts we say ok Viper on top, Vette on bottom, differences but wow the similarity. Oh well, every car is like this, shares idea with another.
Girlfriend says "So, the viper on bottom has a wider hood?" I rest my case. Best friend facepalms. Good job babe, good job.

Comes with a Air intake already, looks sick

Hey, at-least they brought out something. Although i think the new Chevy SS sedan is still better than anything else GM is bringing out including the new Stingray. And im a big corvette fan, but the sting ray looks ugly in the back.

The new motor is nice and it IS faster around a track due to the new suspension mods. Straight track 1/4 may turn out to be different.
But compare the differences. The Z28 will put the ZL1 through the paces I think just because of the way they re-did the Camaro.
It's not getting a new motor, they are stuffing the LS7 from the C6 Z06 off in it, its the lightest high power motor they make and its setup for track use. So 500/470 vs the ZL1's 580/556.
But the Z28 is 300 lbs lighter than the ZL1 with not much less power. Under 3800 vs almost 4100 for the ZL1

The intake is probably going to be different on production car, the Camaro has the exact same intake option as a GM Performance upgrade. It cost a couple grand and is built by SLP. For John/Jane Doe Public it will likely get a similar airbox to what is on the current models, altho I could be wrong. GM has fooled me a couple times before.

Its a nice change tho, I am happy about the tail light change, wasn't too big on the other one and now its still different from the Vette, altho truthfully, I'm not a fan of either from the back.

Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.
