That exhaust note, the shear power the motor can have in NA format, and it eats Porches (even in FWD format)

Ive said it once Ive said it a billion times anything can be fast, the real question is how deep are your pockets. Not trying to knock Nissan either, Ill take a car for what it is and Fast is cool in my book pretty much no matter what format or platform its in!

took 8 mins lol... but you could tell he was just waiting for the space to pass him.

Yet at the same time when they both went WOT most of the time the GT3 was pulling on him.

I think that on that last pull the porsche didn't go wot, it would always put some length in between them on a straight line. But it's great the fact that he can keep up with it none the less.

I also think a 3.5 altima or 350z would make a good next car for me in a couple more years. Given that they didn't bring the 04+ GP and the G8 to Mexico and that used corvette's are sold so expensive around here and many of them are pretty beaten up.

    Yeah he was.

That Sentra is only doing about 260whp...not even close to the full potential of the motor.

I can only imagine what it would be like if it was "more built"

G35 would be my choice in this one. Sentras just dont appeal to me that much. Infiniti just does it better than Nissan

A G35 in this case in that video, would never keep up with any car in that video. Your talking such a hug weight difference.

There are a ton of other cars you could drop a VQ engine in Datsun 510, 180sx, 240sx......BMW E30.

I understand that completely. Doesnt change the fact that a G35 is more attractive than a sentra.

Stop telling me of all these great engines you can fit in an E30.... I want one more than an F body now.

I was gonna say, I know about the PDF file that documents everything you need to do to swap.... Didn't search enough to find kits... more reading now....

A Maxima guy just hit 286whp on an N/A 3.5 with just Bolt-ons and he hasn't even done everything yet.

I just threw out a suggestion to him to work on his exhaust a bit more. My old 3.0 had headers with a completely setup got me to 218whp on the old 3.0.

I seriously think on bolt-ons alone he will hit 295-300whp...imagine what he would do if he did a full port head job with 1.5mm oversized valves, higer compression and some other goodies. Really just a testament to why I love the VQ engine so much, I like the 3800 but the VQ just has so much more to offer.

    God I love the sound

    YouTube - NA 2003 6MT Maxima makes 280whp

He says 280whp....but his dyno sheet says 286whp.
