well recently ive noticed my exhaust got alot louder so today i kinda slid under the car(not jacked up) when it was runnin and it sounds like its come'n from the exhaust manifold area..and per my luck this has to occur after i move to PA and have no access to jacks, ramps, etc like i did in NY -_-..now i gotta take it to a damn shop and pay them to put it up on a lift and see were the **** its leaking from..till then it sounds like im driven a old ass ford on headers....hope the cops dont gimme sh!t for it as i stick out like a sore thumb with the ugly yellow/blue plates NY plates on my car.

if it sounds like a tickin when you start up. not the valve tickin youllknow the difference. its prolly the exhaust mani gaskets. mine do that im just waitin for my headers before i dig into it. also check your flanges in the exhaust those also tend to rot out. basically run your car and feel where the air is escaping thats how i did it. be careful though. im surprised you got under your car without jacking it up. you must be fit...lol

    He's nicks/blues twin.

Exhaust mani gaskets are peices of metal, they dont rust and cant leak for a similar reason.

DP gasket or cracked mani i'd say.

Unless its the EGR leaking... damned EGR lol.

nope there isnt any ticking upon start up,just the incredibly loud exhaust -_-..the prob i run into is that i dont have jacks or anything here,i have a garage i can use but lack of tools/jack.Id do a header like u r but i have a stock motor, with stock pipe and some aftermarket mufflers..i dont wanna stress the motor. and its more of im skinny as hell than fit lol

Headers requires a jack and some axle stands.

They're pretty cheap, you can get a "kit" for $50-60. 1 floor jack + 2 axle stands.

Craftsman tools can be had pretty cheap if you catch a sale. they're decent tools as well.

This is something you'll have to invest in if you want to start doing more work on your own car.

well i have tools but i have been used to having access to my dads vast array of tools he had up in ny,but i'll check out the local sears and see what they have for craftsman tool sets and those jack/jack stand sets i'll have to look into.

You can get a craftsman set for like $200 that will tear these engines completely apart. Its like there 210 piece set, then again you can get most the car apart with a ten piece metric set.

if thats true then the tool sets i carry in my car should be sufficient..now all i need is a jack/axle stand kit.

If you get a jack and stands you can do the headers with a 10,13,15mm IIRC.

If you had your location in your sig or mentioned it..I could suggest a couple of guys based on location in PA. You'd hang out, have a good time and get the work done.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
