As of right now to my knowledge, but it happened alittle while ago, All of the gas stations in the state of maine are using only 91 for the supreme, and i am verrry verrry pissed off!! I talked to a few gas station owners and its true. Soo my big big big question is what should i do??? I have the 3.4 pulley with supporting mods and i plan on going furture, soo what can i do ?? I have 6* of kr when i put it on perfromance shift and step on it and it builds up to 6* probably cause im using 91, soo anyways i need some major help cause i told myself i would never put 91 in my tank and now its what i have to use.

If its a modular pulley, try going to the 3.5 and see if that helps. If not, might be time to do some valve train upgrades.

91 is all they have sold around here since hurricane Katrina, but they used to carry 93.

no octane boost will give you enough to get back to 93

By valve train upgrades I was specifically thinking of higher ratio rockers, like 1.8's or 1.9's.

My best mod that I ever did was to buy a tuner. Save money on other mods and get one. Best investment I ever made. Not only am I running 89 octane and knock free, but I get better gas mileage than before I bought the tuner. I get around 27 mpg daily driving with 89 octane. If I used pushed it, I am sure I could get over 30 mpg.

I have to totally agree with Zef here, the tuner is probably by far the best purchase you can make. I think it would be cool to have some sorta contest to see who can pick up the most fuel economy from tuning alone. There is just a lot of possibilities with a tuner.

I work with a guy that is using EFI Live on a Chevy truck and has picked up somewhere in the area of 5 mpg with tuning alone.

We still have the 92 and 93 here. We are paying $4/gallon for it, but we still have it. Guess it's just one more thing to keep an eye out for. Thanks for the heads up!

I could list my mods, but Sideways has an ungodly list. I dare not try to compete.

Yeah we had on the news that a bunch of gas stations maxed out at 3.99 becuase when the pumps were installed they never expected it to go this high and never installed a 4 on the reel. Its like 750 bucks to replace the reel so a few stations are saying they wont offer diesel or 93 until they can afford new reels.

I don't have a writeup, but I am tuning for mileage now. So any questions, feel free to ask.
