    Ive got a 1999 gtp black 2 door the transmission sprag clutch stop working on friday would it be more efficent to sell it how it is or fix it then sell it?

    info on car
    has 135,000 miles all black leather, all option except sunroof everything work except tranny no rust. I dont know what would be better? what do you guys think?

    I know I would fix it. Try to buy a car with similar aesthetics and HP, that 1k tranny rebuild will be looking pretty cheap.

    Also have them put in a new 4th gear clutch hub and use Dexron 6 fluid.

    well i was thinking if i could find a used trans i would only have to pay for labor? i guy quoted me 1400 to install a used one and 1800 to rebuild mine? is that high or low if i could do it myself i would but it would be hard because i don't have a lift

    It seems a touch high to me, but prices vary. If you get a good warranty with it or live in a bigger city prices will be higher. If you live in Milwaukee or Madison I’d say it’s a good price, but it never hurts to look around a bit. I’d be cautious of a “used” tranny, personally I’d insist on knowing the clutch hub was new. Otherwise it’s just a new time bomb.

    These trans missions are not bad at all to swap out on jack stands.

    get a 2003 pcm and trans with low miles

    1400 install price is high
