Thinking of starting a new project and getting rid of either the s10 or the vette here, just wanted to know what people would think of a fox body with either a 383 or a 355 in it, or if anyone has done the swap any information/tips?

Hold on a D^MM minute. Sell a Vette??????? Oh hell no. But start the project anyway. Foxbody mustangs are bada$$. IMO. I even have a Black w/ charcoal gray int. 87 GT 5.0 5spd Convertible. Still factory except for the sub-frame connectors and mass-air swapped in, instead of the speed-density. I can help with that as well. Very simple swap to add Mass-air. Computer, Mass-air meter and add two wires to the wiring harness. I will even send you the wires for the harness. They just plug right in.
    ENjoy.

Not the same vette you are thinking of I want a fox I already have the S10 for the track, the vette was a fun drive and very unique but to hard to maintain and getting to be a problem with it hooking and I am not going to tub it Definitely not going with a 5.0 or a 2.3 in the fox just either the 355 in the vette or I might stroke it to a 383 and put it in.

If I do it will start as an 89 4 banger, got any tips or any ideas on how to get this project rolling? guys on mustang forums basically told me to f*ck off haha and it was an abomination.

Negatory I have no LS1 at my disposal yet... So for the time being it will be a big N/A build with either a 355 or a 383

s10 not road worthy, and the vette has various issues The foxes can be really clean but I think with a SBC in it, it would be fun and different and I also want a chevy logo made like the ford one with the circle around it

You me talk now, what has to be done for this build? I know the shive ass rear-end in it now has to be taken out what would be better an 8.8 or a 9"? What about the suspension what has to be done? And basically what should I be watching out for in this build?

An old ford pickup had a badge under the hood that said "built ford tough with chevy parts". I'll have to try to find the picture

I had a 8:8 posi rear, eibach full suspension, you definitely want to re-enforce the sub frame, 4.10 Gears, super high grip tires, if you're super serious about it, get rid of the T-5 Tranny, throw a Tremmec in there, that's what I had after 2 T-5's.

Make sure the car isn't rusted out, especially under the floor boards, they go first most of the time.

As far as motor work goes, I had a 302 bored over, AFR heads, E-303 Cam, BBK Shorty Headers, Holley 750 DP Mechanical carb, forged crank, pistons, bbk intake manifold, full exhaust, aluminum drive shaft, fiberglass hood, and a bunch of other crap I can't think of.

    It was a fun car.

The trans will either be a TH350 or a 2speed, no ford trans here or ford motors. What should I be looking at for suspension with it coming from a 4cyl like should I be getting a full suspension upgrade or just the front? Where did you get that drive shaft I can't find them and I need it modified for my setup it will be to long or to short lol

Do a full suspension, will be way better, especially since you're on a 4banger setup.

I got my drive-shaft from a local shop.

X2. FULL suspension. I love the F-body style. The 9" rear would be better, however I've never seen an 8.8 break. I'm sure they have though. Anything mechanical can and will break with enough power...

I have heard the 9"s are better because of availability and how often they get used but I can't really think of a problem with using the 8.8?
