Good buddies car just made some awesome numbers !! :

Stock L26, XP cam (totally wrong for setup, new cam coming), ported heads with stock valves, 130lb springs. CT standard kit with stock exhaust manifolds, T-66, CT alky. 94 Octane pump gas run. This run was done the way the car is driven on the street. Zero tuning on the dyno, and this was the 5th pull after trying to get tach readings 4 other times so it was badly heat soaked. We're really stoked, I think this is a pump gas record, nevermind the stock manifolds, etc. What excites me, is that this turbo kit is 95% the same components you get when you buy a CT kit for a stock GP. I can't wait to see what a new turbo and cam will bring to the table on pump gas. Hopefully we can reach 650whp on a single turbo, basically stock kit, pump gas setup.

    Can anyone confirm :

    Stock Vavles Record
    04+ Record
    Stock Manifolds Record
    Pump Gas Record

PS. The car SHOULD be at the track this weekends pending weather before the new cam.

so he has a t66 on his CT kit and your saying you cant wait for a bigger turbo?? I would by no means say its 95% what you get from CT if thats the case. The PT61 isnt even the standard turbo its an upgrade for the kit.

it might be a record for stock fpr, lugnuts, valve stems, and exhaust tips too, better check that.

sorry for the sarcasm, but how many stupid records can people try to claim?

awesome #'s nontheless, esp on the CT kit that everybody tries to hate on. I had one on my last car and it had sick power
    01' Regal GS the DD-- S2 IC, slp headers, S1X w/rollers, 2.8"
85' Grand National the weekend warrior-- L67?! 10's???

The new Cartuning kits come with a T-66 as an upgrade.

It's not about claiming the records, it's about proving that things can be done.

PS. It's an XP cam record.

How did a L26 block hold together at the boost level? What head gaskets?
Why did you take the L32 out for the L26?

So it is a standard kit with the upgraded turbo?? Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinteresting. I thought standard meant OTB. (out of the box). Shrugs.

    It's my buddies car...

But he swapped the stock L32 to a 4.0L fully forged motor, that was from a sketchy engine builder and he got a batch of bad 105#'s from comp, broke a vavle spring dropped the vavle on a $500 piston(It held together actually).

But he was done with the supercharged set up at that point and the shop that did it for him offered no help. Got an L26, and a Cartuing Turbo kit, kept his XP cam and has gone from there.

Head gaskets are Fel Pro's with ARP head studs. The car is daily driven, and pretty hard.

The Turbo is available from cartuning just like the PT-61 is an upgrade from the smaller turbo for GT's...

Actually, the T-66 was suppsoed to be the new standard but on a stock car it has some lag issues, so some other Turbo's are being looked at.

I would like to look at his tuning/.bin file if i could with hp tuners. Have a similar setup but with stock engine and the 62-1 turbo.

So its not a "standard" kit then is it?

As I hear the last few kits have all had T-66's, but they have lag issues on a bone stock car so other similarily sized Turbo's are being looked at. Like ones with less roatating mass...

I guess the next big thing is to keep the wheels on the ground It will be interesting to see how he does with traction at the track and the numbers he puts up.
