it was knocking for like 2 weeks
i just got my car back with a new engine, everything seems good so far, should i look for anything
This one didn't lock up the motor. It was clear that it rubbed a bit along the way, but it kept on working.
I didn't count the pieces, but estimated about 1,000 or 2,000 pieces were found in the pan.

It's long gone. I do enough work that broken stuff doesn't stay around long. Not to hijack, I did crack up and nearly drop the head when I saw the entire piston completely gone and the motor was still running "decently". Kinda a loose term when it's spewing smoke and flashing a check engine light. For missing a piston completely with the fuel injector pumping fuel openly into the oil pan etc....I was impressed.
Questions like "How do you pull off a 100% destroyed piston" went through my head. There wasn't a sign of of when the head came off. The only marks in the cylinder were from the pin that should have been free floating but was frozen to the rod.
mine looked the same way lol
C'mon this is a picture whore forum. If you don't have a picture...what proof do you have?![]()
This is what was left of my piston
