hello. Im an Army PFC. stationed out of Rose Barracks in Vilseck Germany, currently at FOB Spin Boldak, Afghanistan. Im a 19D "scout", conducting reconnaissance (area, zone, and route) so i too know all to well how IED's like to "suprise" you. Ive been in for just under two years now, should be getting promoted soon. not sure if im going to re-enlist, but kinda leaning towards ETS.

why would you join AFTER college? doesnt it make sense to join before and make them put you through college? seems like you got it backwards, homie.

Not really, since you can join as an Officer, instead of enlisted.

I wish I had my college done before going in.

im pretty sure they will pay for any student loans you might have if you join after college. i know my friend has a degree, went enlisted anyways, but had all his student loans payed off, plus still got a signing bonus.

Pretty much everyone on here knows me spent 16 months in Iraq 2006-2007. Worked as a bradley mechanic 91T now. I just got done with 94M school in Feb. and Im in Afghanistan right now. Working on Sentinel Radars. Look them up on wiki I dont feel like explaining it. Should be home around end of Nov. early Dec. Im a Sergeant right now and ill be starting my 8th year in Dec. By the time I get home I should have around 46 months on Active duty which is something to say since Im North Dakota National Guard. Wouldnt have it any other way. Get all the benifits and still get a normal 9 to 5 job at home.
