K & N is one of the best because the huge cone it comes with. But if you can find a cone that large and make your own you will save a good amount of money. If you not creative when it comes to making intakes buy a K & N.
Black 2000 GTP Coupe. SSAutoChrome headers, K&N Cold Air Intake, Reptile Tuned PCM, 3.4" ZZP MPS, 104 Autolites & 180 Stat.

PS3 Online: Zirpola (Dont use mic.)

As near as I've seen, K&N is just thin-ass plastic, kind of like Thrasher's - may as well just use open-cone. The only CAI "kit" I've seen that I'd ever like to try is Wizaired. It's like $200. The filter is only $45, so I'd have to have a wizaired intake given to me to bother (especially since I got my cone for free).
