just remember it isn't a record until it is backed up (I know picky but there is a reason for that)

I am quessing a lot lighter than our stockers out on the track. I am pretty sure they redid most of the engine bay with some tricky aluminum tubing and the enterior I am sure was shredded.

    That's just a guess

Not calling you a liar but this certainly doesn't sound like like thats true.
"The first two were time trial runs and Bob was getting used to the modifications made over the winter.

Unfortunately with all the flying hoods and cars breaking, bracket racing time came all too quickly and so Bob made the decision to turn it up and go for it on his third and final pass as he was eliminated from the brackets."
If he ran two 8sec passes then why did he turn it up an go for it on his third an final pass? Maybe the above is just worded poorly though. I couldn't say, I wasn't there. Still quite the accomplishment.

Maybe the 8 sec passes were the 2nd and 3rd?

Because they were bracket racing and he jumped hard on that last run and lost maybe ?

I'd like to know if they had comparable weight to ZZP's drag car, or if it's a little less extreme than that.

I also agree with the backup pass. Some claimed my 13 second pass was BS since it wasnt backed up and bla bla bla. Then I had to break out both slips.
