The '04+ cars have no U-Bend from the factory...GM got smart for some reason. That Bend is there for a reason...it is fine. It isn't hurting you in any way...if you think it is...take it to an exhaust shop and have them cut it out and weld in a 3" pipe that isn't bent.

SLP, SSAC, Speed Daddy's...they are all the same...they all have that low lying bend 3" DP that looks like an egg...

That just means you needed to be harder on it if you've never been before...

Turn off TCS? Power brake it at the start? Lower tire pressure a tad? Take out the headlight? Remove all the crap in the trunk?

seems about right for a gt with an inexperienced driver though. maybe the track didn't have great traction, or temps/humidity wasn't great. like blue said, you're probably a good launch away from 15's

TCS pulls timing regardless...probably just enough for that little push you need to be sitting in 15s

wow... that's sick dude. the only time i had the opportunity to go to the track closest to me it was closed that night for some reason. i'm hoping to get a thrusday off sometime, it's like a 45 minute trip

in this case it means getting a good launch and controlling wheelspin. it's easier to do in a car like a grand prix with hardly any power to get off the line. but the clock starts when you trip the sensor off the line, if you're spinning the tires then you're not going anywhere. think about the dragsters and funny cars that fun like 5 or 6 second quarters, there's a ton of wheelspin and control issues. it's not just flooring it and hoping for the best
