Yeah, but that oil should be going into my gas tank. That is why I care.

I live in the red river valley its called the bread basket of the world as far as farming. MINN ND valley has a **** load of grass mow that **** up and truck it down to the beaches by the truck load!!! On another note I believe more and more every year humans can fix these disasters with the proper methods. Ex. pic Moscow "sprays" chemicals into winter storms systems by plane in the winter to dump snow out side the city before the city gets the precipitation. Easy winters when their is less snow to remove! But here is the hard part all the FACKING politics that go with it!! Why the hell hasnt BP blown it shut yet of better yet the military detonated explosives down their yet. OOh I know pick me!! Because its far easier to sop up some oil then drill it **** the environment! Right?? Ex. The the US military had bombs dropped from bombers that skipped across the river water to destroy dams and flood cities we used in a war maybe WW2 not sure. Bunker busters or a bomb take your pick either would do the job! Heres the reason the US has let BP drag their feet because Obama is the #1 recipient of BP contributions! http://watchingamerica.com/News/5484...oney-from-b-p/ Oh and maybe these farmers could put people to work helping fight the oil spill. Damn it all sounds so easy minus the politics that is destroying the US and now the Gulf Coast!!!! Id make a far better president that the worthless piece we have now at least I was born here!!!

lol thats what im sayin!! i keep trying to research to find out if the oil they are saving from that pipeline and from skimming can be used as it was intended. all i see is tanks and tanks of gas just bubbling to the top.
and i bet after all this is over obama and his team are going to ban offshore oil drilling. fabulous.

Amazing how easy you make it sound to fix... Back in 79 a smiliar incident happened in Mexico, pretty much the same scenerio, but was only 160 feet deep and it still took them 9 months to cap it. This one is a little bit different being that it's 5000 feet deep - duh...

And another who brings up the birth certificate card - give it a damn break already.

that alaskan oil spill that happened in the 80s leaked something like 100,000 gallons into the ocean. they're still cleaning it up today.

the leak in the gulf leaks 100,000 gallons/day. put that in your water and ruin it.

luckily the great lakes are not affected by all this silly oil stuff. my tap water's better than all the bottled water all these fools drink

First of all, thank you for serving! We owe our freedom to men and women like yourself. I'm honored to be on the same forum with you.

Second of all, I think you're right. The politics get in the way of solving the problems too often. The free market will (and probably has already done so) create a solution and it will work. Americans are the most creative people on the planet, which is why we're the most sought after country in the world.

Absolutly agree with you and a sincere thanks you also. Think about the EPA throwing a fit becasue of the chemical dispersant on the water to break up the oil. their crying because of the long term effects. get the issue resolved right NOW!!! drastic times call for drastic measures. Exactly why I wont go buy anything new like a new car sure Id like one but I think zero debt and zero car payments is worth far more than money in the bank even. The root of all of todays problems is the fight for the almighty dollar.

Bingo. And its nice to not have waterspots from the hose after I wash my car. Living 20 miles from the great lakes FTW.
