Re: Tb screen removal bad right ?
Just so it's stated. There are different screen sizes for the 3.8L GMs. Please don't think that you only need to find a 3.8L GM Throttle Body.

I'd leave it in. It's the last obstacle to crud getting sucked into the motor should it somehow get past the filter.

yeah thats why some people have bent honeycombs and stuff
Re: Tb screen removal bad right ?
Well I went to the junkyard today and bought one... I have to say my throttle response is better, the car runs 100% smoother and doesn't stall after driving it hard, then starting it back up. Made a world of difference. And no, it didn't take away any HP, if anything it helped 100%. My DIC even said I gained .3 MPG and that was driving it about 10 minutes, and going WOT once.
Re: Tb screen removal bad right ?
My screen was removed by the previous owner, and I haven't replaced it. Occasionally my car starts kinda rough, but it mostly does it after I fill up with gas, so I thought it was an EVAP thing. Then again I haven't had any EVAP emission codes.
I might try a new screen, then I'll let you know if it runs any different. If anything it'll probably 90% mental.
Re: Tb screen removal bad right ?
