with all the rain we got here in illinois over the past week, decided to take some pictures and videos of the damage. this is on the spoon river located on the county line of peoria and stark county. every road was submerged atleast 2-3 feet.

the river from the bridge. waters normally 15 feet below the bridge.

here's the levy that holds the river back from the cornfields. not so much anymore.

here i am in the waterfall. yay.

and the video quality blows. thank you samsung rogue.

yeah about 2 years ago, my g/f goes to wabash valley college atteh indiana border, and i got to a section of highway 64 where it was nothing but floods on both sides of the road. it looked like i was driving through an ocean, the water had completely covered ALL of the fields as far as you could see

with nothing but rain for the last 2 weeks and counting, its gonna be just like that or worse

the bridge was still drivable, not sure if the water ever got onto the bridge. id say the water was probably 1-2 inches from the bottom of the bridge? not sure, we just wanted to go play in the waterfall lol.

all the bridges that cross the river werent submerged. it was more so the overflow into the fields. which sucks for the farmers.. they have to replant everything.
