The Car to those who don't know what it looks like

So last Sunday (April 11th 2010) My Engine got locked up on the way back from a car show.

The only thing that i could think to cause the final blow was one of 2 Things.

1.) I seafoamed my car that Friday
2.) Maybe the Heavy rain and Water on the Florida Turnpike

Reason I can fathom why Seafoam could of caused this:
    Friday April 9th 2010
When i used it on friday (1/3 in the gas tank on a full tank of gas, 1/3 in Oil crankshaft, 1/3 in Brake booster Vac line) The car didn't smoke at ALL, nor did i see any change in performance.

    Sunday April 11th 2010

While it was still Bright and sunny and DRY outside my local car club Speed style and performance all meet up at 8:30am hungout for a bit then got on the florida turnpike in a convoy to the carshow. (30 Mile drive all highway) Toward the end of the highway while at a Tollbooth my car stalled and died, i cranked it again and started driticed the Heat going up. so i pulled over (about 2 miles away from the car show) let it sit for 45mins walked to the local gas station to buy a sunpass and 2QTS of Oildrove the 2 miles to the show, stopped to get a quick oil change (thought that was the cause of the issue) then drove to the show (10:00am). after the show was over and the car had been sitting for 6 and a half hours(4:30pm) it started raining Lightly and then went i got on the highway All ****ing hell broke loose with the rain You had to exit the Main Raised highway to pay cash at the tollbooth (much lower elevation, and water was pooling a bit. about half the way up my tires)
Car made it pretty much the 30 miles on the highway back toward miami then started stalling so i pulled over and let it sit, saw a bit of smoke coming from the air intake (white, very light) and called my Insurance company (USAA) to get my roadside assistance. they Towed it to the Local Pontiac Dealership.

My Insurance company sent a Appraiser out to the dealership to check out the car, confirmed the loss, and sent his report back to USAA. Yesterday they told me They Valued my car at $9850 and Total Repair cost at $6318.65

so long was the Repairs didn't go over 70% of my cars Value they would pay the Repairs and cover the loss, if it went over 70% they have to consider it Totaled.

Today i call back and they tell me the car is being considered a Total loss, and i explain that i was told the value was $9850 and the repairs are only $6318.65 so thats like 63% so I'm covered Right??

Then she puts me on hold, checks over the notes and everything and comes back and tells me They made a mistake yesterday and misquoted me that 9 was supposed to be a ****ing 4 for a total Value of $4850

So they want to Total out the Vehicle. i told them the amount of cash i have invested and they told me to provide receipts and stuff and they can Add to the value, just not Dollar for Dollar.

This is the breakdown of the Cost of repairs
$4300 for a new L67 from GM Not rebuilt new.
12.3 hours od Labor at 108$ an hour for like a 1300$ labor charge
    7% sales tax
and like 60$ for Oil, oil filter, coolant etc
Total $6318.65 (The Service manager said that would be the Price if USAA Paid for it, he said since I'm military he would cut down labor cost for me)

Currently sitting brand new in my hotel room and not Installed on the car is
    3.4 Pulley
    Gatorback S/C Belt
    Autolite 104 Sparkplugs
    New S/C Coupler (ZZP)
2 Bottles of GM S/C Oil
    DHP tuned PCM
    4 GTX Rims,
2 Custom made Black and Red "Supercharged Grand Prix" Floor Mats

And Already Ordered and Shipped on the way here are
a new 99+ Coolant Overflow bottle (My old one is dirty as hell)
Engine Cover overlay for my Engine cover for shows only
new EGR, and EGR Gasket (EGR threw a Code a few weeks back).

about 2500$ in the bank and another 3000$ I'm getting on 4/27/2010

Will all these Facts, What would You do in this situation?

If they Totaled the car the would give me like 5 Grand.
If i wanted to keep it and take my **** off it. 4 Grand.

    Currently on the Car is.
    SD ram Air Hood
    15% Tint all around
    MSD Ignition System
    MSD Wires,
    Speed Daddy Headers,
    SS Chrome tips
    Wiz Aired Cold Air Intake
    Dash Z Projector Headlights
    17' Excalibur Chrome Rims
    Brand new Nekken Tires
    6000k HID kit
    Dash Z LED Taillights Black
    2 Kicker 12's
Rockford Fosgate prime 500W Amp 2ohm
    Chrome Top & Bottom Grills
like 100$ worth of Reflective Concepts Decals

You have a crap load of after market parts going on Id definatly get your old one back and demod Part it out down to the lugnuts make as much as you can off it and find a platform that you feel more confident with

yeah but i feel right at home with the Grand Prix....

that 03 LE would be ****ing perfect if it was black.

And if i buy that one.

Ill have 3 sets of Chrome rims.

    eh....

FYI if people want to shoot me offers on items feel free to start PMing me.

to see what interest there is out there.

Mind you every aftermarket part i have is less then 4 months old.

I think problems follow modding in any platform

*The 03 LE does NOT have a Northstar motor in it. It is a 3.8 I have seen it in person as well. They changed the engine cover for some reason.
