Since 01' i have enjoyed what the W-Body had to offer.
Starting with a 97 GT moved to a 2k GTP and 94 GTP and a 98 Regal GS.

On Friday my trans in the regal finally had enough and for some reason dumped its fluid over a 5 mile run. Before that 1-2 gear where gone so i only had 3rd gear to go from a stop and on the road. The cost to have replaced/rebuilt was $1800
With this cost and the other things that the regal had wrong it was not worth fixing ( both driver and passenger electric motor for ac died. ABS issues out the ass and a car that was just falling apart).

This afternoon i picked up my new car. (pics later)

    1996 Lexus ES300
    Fully loaded with 125k miles
    Black on black
    Awesome car all around.

I was able to pick up the car for $1400. It was looked at by a mechanic before i made my final decision. His only thing was he was worried about the timing belt due to the mileage. The owner wanted $1600 but due not knowing if the belt was done or not ( they were 2nd owner after a bank did a repo on original owner) They agreed to $1400,

I will miss the fun i had in the prix and regal but i will still be around here.
    Again Pics after this break!

but either way, i hope you like your lexus! timing belts can be a pain in the ass depending upon the car, but if youre car savvy you can usually figure it out.

I could have gotten a junk yard tranny with no warranty it could last a month it could last a year. But with that, it needed new front suspension to get it to be able to get it aligned. Needed all new tires. And i really dont like getting under the dash to turn the blend doors with a quarter if i want heat or ac.

It would out weight the cost of the lexus just for the tranny and the cost to get the car aligned and new tires

Lexus looks good, and i think for a good price. A long time friend of the family used to have one, it lasted her for a long long time.

    What happens with the Regal?
