yeahh i gotcha. i'm not really a fan of silver on any car tbh. i think the audi R8 is the only car that actually looks good in silver

I just have to say how much I love your car. It looks amazing. I've always had a thing for Monte Carlos, because my uncle had one while I was growing up that he took immaculate care of. It was an '84 in the burgandy/maroon color with t-tops. It always was such a sexy car - and the way it sounded! We always knew when Uncle Willie pulled in the driveway, because of the rumble of his motor and the weight of the car doors when they were shut.

Anyway, I'd love to get my hands on a Monte Carlo one day. We'll see :)

Thanks! ur uncles sounds nice, you got any pics? but omg i loveee the 4th gen montes, hope to get my hands on a 84 ss & paint it high gloss black & jus ttotally make it BA :) yeahh i gotta 86 ss for a dirt race car & i absolutely loveee the way it sounds! oh & the doors are still hella heavy lol its so hard to not slam them bcuz of the weight.

Jarhead love his Monte custom conversion ...she's still a work in progress. sixteen months ago I bought her off my state farm agent as salvage in a flood rescue for just under six hundred, gutted her new interior, bod kit refreshed engine/ dual exhaust /wheels /tires /brakes..this fall she will recieve a HD tranny from Triple Edge and the 3800 will get a twinn rear mount turbo from Boost Technologies. as I said she's still an on-going project with title in hand

Just love to work on projects and this is a blast. Did all the work including paint myself and will continue to do so, our family has a sign / graphics company so all the vinyl is custom laid. I think she's a looker!!!!and yesI do need some HD's in the fog light ports..workin towards it piece by piece.

the only montes i like are the gbodys, every other looks goofy imo..
the front end of the 00-05 turns me off ( no offense Spinem)
and the new ones look like a malibu in the front
the GPs suit me much nicer

You certanly are welcome to your opinion on the Montes and it's not unexpecetd you favor the GP after all this is the forum! I simply saw the thread and offered up my Monte for viewing I love all the Monte's and Grand Prix alike. keeping in line the GP and the monte ran along one another in the GM family for years with the Prix being offered as the more stylish perhaps and the Monte SS a sports coupe until the 90's with the GTP for the GP.. the Gp evolved into the four door and the Monte remained as is due to the Impala's popularity. personally the 6th gen Monte in my opinion has the second best looking rear view in GM's line up next to the vette of course aand that is just my opinion....and now it's sad to see they have both now been written off ...still love the wide bodys
