so i was lucky enough to get all my stuff done early and come back home tonight. my car's been sitting, neglected, in the parking lot at school for awhile now, so this week it's getting it's attention

    Plans are:
    -8000k HID kit
    -Headlight restoration, inside and out
-painting the inside of the headlight housing black, the poor man's way to have projectors
    -New sylvania 38w fog lights
    -oil change
-put my passenger window back in the track...
    -detailed inside and out
    -possibly plugs and wires

    Things already forgot include:
    new door panel pins... s**t

anyways, wish my luck. should be a good week

good luck! everything sounds good except painting the insides of the headlight housings? are you sure the light will still reflect? i would not paint the refective mirros in the back of the housing, just the top and bottom like the headlight you can buy

I think its just the housing not the reflector

    Good luck

at the end of day one. i got the front of the headlight assemblies off and cleaned those. they're still kinda cloudy so i might do it again tomorrow. does anybody know if using soft or hard water makes a difference in the result? cause my house is on a well, it goes through a softener but still. anyways, i taped off the reflector part and painted the inside of the housing black. i think it look pretty good. pics to come. tomorrow should consist of putting the door panel back on and getting my new bulbs wired up. gonna be a good time

got to drive the car tonight and i'm thrilled with the HID's. i'm thinking about doing the re-wire to drive with hi beams on and fogs at the same time (anybody wanna be nice with a link? lol) the new fog lights are brighter than the low beams i now have haha. the door went back together pretty well, mainly because i got the right replacement clips this time. the window works again too. all that's left is a good wash and new spark plugs. maybe monday lol. hopefully i'll have pics tomorrow

that would be great. i know there's a thread about it here somewhere, i'm just not into looking right now. however, added to the list of things to get before summer ends, are the painted black headlights that ctkgp09 has. mine really didn't turn out that well. just the front cover. i think they're too far gone

most of this work seems really simple.

oh and when you do the spark plugs i highly advist you Half turn to ignition over. Put it in Neutral and Put the E-Brake on.

that way you can Easily rock the engine back and forth.

that's what i did, but i'm really not happy with the way the front cover turned out. i tried to wet sand and polish both sides while i had them off and they're still really cloudy. and i couldn't get the other covers off. i'm having trouble uploading pics, i'll resize them later and try again.

as far as the spark plugs go, it went fine. i unbolted the dog bones but honestly i could have done it without it. a pair of gloves would have been nice but oh well lol. the biggest problem i had was the plastic clip holding the wires in the back was stuck shut.

sounds like more of a pain than i thought it was going to be. especially with no soldering iron... might have to wait till summer.

    addition to the plan:
new passenger door panel. f**k making cars out of plastic.
