Anyone on here from there? I'll be at the Navy base there at the end of April, for a little over 3 weeks. Anything fun to do? Never been out that way before, and yes I do like to drink. So any good bars?

The oceanfront should be starting to pick up by then (lots of bars/clubs, lots of tourists). There are also a lot of good places in VB Town Center, downtown Norfolk, and Colley Ave. Ghent (historic section of Norfolk).

Town Center is a fairly new development in VB (not near the oceanfront), and has a lot of good restaurant/bars, a comedy club, etc. If you go to Norfolk, there's the Waterside (giant mall full of bars and restaurants), a huge variety of bars/clubs on Granby St, and another whole strip on Colley Ave. in Ghent (about 1/2 hr walk from downtown). Colley Ave. is a little more laid back than downtown (more restaurants than clubs).

If you let me know more of what you're looking for, I can give you some more specific recommendations.

i stayed in in VA beach for 2 days a few years ago and saw 2 nice cars and about 200 lifted trucks, there seems to be a strict pattern down there

'00 Grand Prix GTP DAYTONA 500 - L36 block, S1X, intercooled, GenV, N*, headers, full exhaust, coilovers, 5 speed swap, stage 3+ clutch

The city of Virginia Beach actually extends south all the way to the NC border. Once you get out of the major urban and resort areas it's just miles and miles of farmland.

I have no idea where we will be staying once I get there. But it could very well be on the Navy base there.. Is that close to anything?
