I think cars do. They seem to be there for you when you need it. Other times can be a real ass lol.

I always thought of my car having the personality of a dirty pirate hooker, spend money on it and treat it right and your fine.

If you don't it's abusive and makes you cry. Getting it out of winter hibernation should be interesting. But I have small mods planned to finish my suspension. The car needs wheels badly to finish the exterior, it's like that old saying "the shoes make the dress", just can't decide on a set.

yeah, I need to find a new girlfriend, lmao

My car, Suzie, definitely has a personality. She always reels me back in when I get lost in thoughts about buying an f-body... She will seem to do something that will make be happy with what I've got. Her common response is to hook ridiculously and unleash all the low end torque in a "strutting her stuff" type of manner. She's a good gal, but time is starting to take its toll... she had emergency engine transplant surgery 2 weeks ago. Probably because she loves to accelerate hard. In many cases I get better MPG going wot more often than trying to save gas.
