Hello people’s, to quickly summarize my issue.. “Sorry for the autobiography on my car, but since I bought it”..

First- After 3 months of official ownership, the head gasket blew, heads went to machine shop, radiator got flushed of ALL the engine block &**T put it all back together start it up did not idle right had a little miss, mechanic put transmission Fluid!!! in engine he says to seal pistons or rods, after compression test?? I think that’s what he said.. Nonetheless drove good just idled bad. Check engine comes on giving code PO303 so changed the ignition wires (Napa). Ran really good next day check engine on yet AGAIN, now 2 codes PO341 and PO300. Since then Camshaft sensor was changed out and New Napa Plugs.. Still to this day has a slight miss in the idle at times when I start the car, but will (usually) level out after driving – super bad on GAS.

Second- Some time later, and please don’t laugh….I accidently drove about 18 miles in 3rd gear.. (not paying attention) luckily I caught it in-time before serious damage, after the fact my boost got stuck on 6-7 bars, RPM's jumped/ revved up to 5,000 + when getting into it to pass? Car died a few times the exact afternoon after this had happened, but thankfully had stopped same day. I checked…. and ended up needing to add 1 ½ courts of Trans Fluid. Check engine light came on with code P0121 when I cleared the check engine light it ran fine again, except for the fact my boost indicator doesn't work at all now...?? Until chk engine comes back with code P0121, but then it is stuck at 6-7 bars!?! This all took place roughly about a month ago..

As of right now No Check Engine, but I still have the weird idle when I start up sometimes? Also this morning while in performance shift trying to haul ass from green light my car wanted to leave good BUT once I got to about 4,000 rpm’s that was all she wrote let off the gas car kicked backed down, disengaged performance shift, drove normal, (if I am on the interstate driving or driving period and get into her she hauls ass, but dead stop taking off she doesn’t perform right? Just this past Sunday I got a misfire code, and cleared it! I continue getting random misfire codes MAINLY P0303, P0341, AND P0300. It is driving me nuts and I am not as mechanically inclined as I would like to be.. Could anyone help me understand my issues ?

random misfire codes sound like a cam thing do you know if the car has a performance cam in it? And the p0341 code could be a broken wire in the loom that goes to the cam sensor it could also be a problem with the magnet on the cam sprocket that works with the sensor

I did a cam and after my build i have the p0341 code and I have random misfire codes deleted so i dont see them

Not that any of that really helps huh

P0303 is misfire code specific to cylinder #3 which is the middle cylinder on the front bank of the engine, closest to the radiator.

I would double-check that it's getting spark, put in a new plug, be sure to look at the color or take a picture of the old plug when you take it out. Possibly do a compression check on that cylinder. After that, I would switch the injector from that cylinder to another cylinder to see if the misfire follows.

DAng girl you have had nothing but problems with that car! Well as stated before an easy way to check for misfires is to pull each plug wire at the boot with the engine running and listen for the idle to change. If it changes then that cylinder is the getting some spark to it. Make sure you wear some good insulated gloves to protect your hands in cause a wire archs over so you dont get shocked. Now if your engine idle doesnt change but your can see that your getting spark at the wire, the next thing is to check your injectors.Loosen each clip at the injector connector and again with the engine running, pull the plug out andlisten for any changes in the idle. your rpms should drop a bit telling you that injector is working. Hope this helps!

last time i was getting p0303 it was because i didn't put the wire on enough... make sure that things snapped on right.
