i DO like the volks more, but they are soon to be discontinued. however, rota makes another set called 'grid' and they are a nearly identicle wheel.

out of the two i like the volks better and if you're not lowering that car then go with 19"s. I'd vote a gunmetal color would look better on a tan car, without a red lip.
01 GT special ed.: SD hood, GMPP kit, poly sway bushings, Eibachs/Gabriel Ultras, Eagle GTs, ZZP anti-pogo, ZZP short dogbones, ZZP poly trans, ZZP PCM, ZZP HV TB, ZZP HV3, P&P LIM, 4" FWI, 3" DP, custom exhaust, pwdr-coated Trans Am brakes, NGK iridiums, Mobil1 Syn fluids, stage 2 voltage booster, BIG 3, real loud stereo...

I would stay stock. I think either one of those wheels will look out of place on that car but it's your $$$

there is an off chance that i would get an 04 STI, which still has the 5x100 bolt pattern. keep that in mind.

The rota's are nicer to me. Get them in 19". It should look pretty nice. But a six spoke would be tight too. Idk man it's a tough decision!

buying a set now with the red accent could face you with a tuff decision when looking to buy your STI what could be in a color that would not go well with the red lip... i say wait

that depends. Volks keep their price, rotas fall like crazy cuz they are replicas.

yes, they are nice. i would be using them for winter wheels though because im a bastard and like to destroy expensive BBS wheels.

no plans on getting either of them with a red stripe, but those are the pictures i could find the quickest.

this is true. people selling their volks used on NASIOC still go for a good price.

the thing is if i do get a set now, ill have to either sell them later and buy another set or ill have to get a WRX. that starts the debate of me being able to put enough power down without destroying the transmission since the 5 speed in the WRX is pretty weak compared to the supposedly indestructible 6 speed in the STI. i dont know how much strain ill put on the WRX having it run mid to low 12s or so. to figure that out ill have to ask the people on the subaru forums. ive searched, but i havent found any good threads on the transmissions strength, but have heard a ton of people breaking the 5 speed with only a stage 2 setup (turbo back exhaust, intake, and a stage 2 'flash').
