    some grinding here, cutting there

    clears the trans harness by 3/4 inch and with some reworking of a 4t60e range switch (not the 4t80E switch) it will work fine and clear the Xover...
    rear trans cooler line clears by 1 1/2 inches, no problem there

    we will have to make a new trans tunnel for the front of the 442...so we may use a 65ehd short term to do the tunnel and go ahead and finally install the halo bar and rest of the 12 point cage...then throw the front 80e in

    let the fun begin!

    What kind of coasting is that you have your PS's? Or is that just heavy duty black engine paint Just curious.

    no coating (i'd destroy it anyways lol) the protective paint they use will be sand blasted off and re painted with the same alum high temp paint that we used on the 442's LIM/Exhaust (held up damn well except for 4 rust spots from not doing enough surface prep)

    this is of course after both sets get O2 bungs welded into each primary, ported/rewelded (anyone thats seen the weld quality would prob do the same) and a couple tabs for a bolt on Y pipe, and removal of the EGR stovepipe/flange section to clean up the #6 primary flow.

    once we are satisfied with the headers (prob after a year) we'll likely get them ceramakromed to match all the polished aluminum a bit more

    the whippled Riv just needs its primary O2 bungs welded in...dont know if eric will get em coated or not...he prob will...i mean its gonna have a SC snout to TB measurement of over 3 ft

    Is the crossover running so close to the tranny going to cause any heat transfer issues? Particularly with the neutral safety switch?

    the crossover isnt bad it comes close but only touches the trans at the rear i'm planning on dimpling it and running fiberglass mat under it.
    the trans range switch is a bit of an optical illusion... that sensor is from a 94 60e i dont have anything for it to go on and it was similar to the 99 60/65e unit that you can see on top of the engine at one point. anyways the 60e sensor sits 1/4 inch higher on the manual valve shaft, than the 65e sensor

    the bonus is that the 99 sensor allows me to cut down the bolt boss to gain an additional 5/16ths, and the pipe will still clear the shift arm by 3/16ths

    i have the manual valve pressure switch in my hands...i'm reworking it to see if i can get it to have the same logic as the 60/65 unit and then the 80e is COMPLETLY tunable via the OE PCM
