your money man. seems a high price for the le. If the KBB states it is worth more and he is only asking $6.xxx at the end of the day I myself would ask what is wrong with the car, just by him not asking what the KBB states make s me wonder, but hey that is only me. My dad bought his first car from a family member and when he asked to test drive it, family member hit the roof "you don't trust your ........ you think I am trying to cheat you" yadda yadda. well, dad bought the car and he needed to replace the trunk floor as it was rusted out. If it seems to good of a deal there is likely a reason, check it out. IMO
resale value is good. Part of the reason i jumped on my deal, i bought it from a dealer for less than trade in value, i knew if i didn't like it i could easily get my money back.
find a gto for a little more.....trading 1 gtp to the next, personally i wouldn't bother, but hey, u drive enjoy it...remember u asked for opinions.
Wow. $7.5k for a 2003 GP is a lot. The SE package doesn't do anything for price. As mentioned, you can make your current car the same vehicle for less money. The 2003 is still going to need new LIM gaskets. They all do. And how is your current car running with a bad fuel pump?
not worth it, gto ftw
My Fuel pump is working fine currently i can just here it humming
and The reason he is asking 6950$ is because thats Auction value which is what he sells all his cars for.
and Generally he doesnt buy cars over 100K
but the bank didnt wanna loan me the money (even though im about to get a 3300$ tax return.)
so i can't get it at the moment anyway
Most of the posts in this thread already outline their opinions on the deal.
My question is why you believe buying a used GP is a deal of a lifetime. I sure hope your life has far better deals in the future.
^^^get told by the nooooob haha
well finding a 03 LE Grand prix now a days is Rare as **** to find.
yet alone with low miles and perfect condition for a hell of alot less then KBB.
thats why i think its a good deal.
Car is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay, so if you feel that is what it is worth then good for you.. I personally think its dumb.
trading in a gp for another gp plus cash
id at least look into a different w-body like a regal gs or something
I say its an amazing deal and I would jump on it right away.
So let me wrap up what everyone else including myself is saying a deal of a life time would be your car traded straight up for a GTO or TA. Like I said before milage doesnt mean crap to me wonder how that trans is in a almost 70K mile car. Chances are decent but Ive in fact bought my GT with under 60K and I replaced the trans shortly after. What Im getting at is a well documented 100k mile car would be far better IMHO. Keep your tax return buy some parts and go hunt some fat heavy slow GTO's and Mustangs. :th_thumbsup-wink: Oh and 3300 dollars would go a long long ways for a turbo kit and trans for your current GP!!
a deal of a lifetime would be if someone wanted to do a straight trade for my grand prix gt for a carrera gt
I'd go for it (like you already have...) ... I paid way more for mine than $7500 and mine was pristine with under 60k yadda yadda....
You've been looking to clone one for a while, so if it's what makes you happy, gof for it. $3500 is pretty good on a trade too..... I had one dealer offer $4000 for mine less than a month after I bought it.
Buy mine.....$7k....lolz...and ill let ya see wifeys tatas!!
