I am so sick of spending money to look for a car. I have spent over $100 in buying fuel to look at cars. All I keep finding is a bunch of Junk cars.

Please someone help me find a fair car.

Let me explain my situation, I am getting unemployment, I can pay $200 per month for a car note. I have $1,200 for a down payment. All I want is a 1995 or newer car. I am to the point I do not care what it is, but I must have dual exhausts.

Here is a list of cars I like:

    Chevy Camero Z28
    Monte Carlo SS
    Pontiac Grand Am GT
    Pontiac Grand Prix GT
    Ford Taurus SHO
    Oldsmobile Aurora
    Ford Mustang GT
    Lincoln Mark VIII LSC
    Lincoln Continental
    Hyundai Tiburon
    Jaguar XJ6
    Acura TL 3.2
    Nissan Maxima

Of course I really want a Grand Prix GT/GTP first then if not a Grand Am GT/GT1. I live in Liberty, MO are Kansas City, MO Area. I may even go down to a Sunfire GT now.

Now I may be starting to work in Feb. if so I will have to buy some kind of car to get back and forth to work, I did not want to buy anything but if I have to I will to get to work. If anyone knows the buses run here in Liberty very slow. I am thinking about moving to the city. I hate living this far out with no transportation.

If anyone knows where I can buy a car for a fair value then please let me know. I need someone to help me I am crying right now I am so sad and depressed with no transportation. I will pay fuel money for taking me around to look at cars.

I wish, I could at least make a friend with a car so we can ride together sometime. Well let me know, keep me in mind. I will go wherever you want to drive for the car, just let me know.

I went to one buy here pay here lot. I believe that guy was on drugs. He wanted $2350 for a 2001 GP GT, that had no radio, no steering column, smoking engine, no pass. mirror, dents in the body. No way I was getting that car, even my friend says it was junk. All his cars was junk. I am not going to say his name, but can not reccommend him. He gives all dealers a bad rep and thinks people are stupid or something.

There neat cars but can be a mechanical asshole. My brother in law used to have a 1993. Decent car, decent top end and overall headache to won however. Almost bought it for $500 with the tranny completely gone. Some enthusist ended up picking it up...

Did anybody read that he can't spend more than a couple grand? Most of those cars are nice but I don't the OP has 8K to drop on a ride...and he doesn't have enough credit to get a loan for something that high of an amount. Sorry to be blunt, but thats the deal.

Shoot, if you were closer, I'd sell you my GP. I don't like using my Impala as the family car, so I need to sell my GP to get an SUV. Wish I could help you out.

I used to own a Gen III SHO before I bought a GTP. They are nice cars & they have a pretty quick top end. But if you buy one make sure the Cams are WELDED, or the engine will be toasted. Pittman is right, they have mechanical flaws, & if something goes wrong with them, it will be a Arm & a Ass to fix &, but if you find one with all maintnance done, it will last a good time. I got out of mine because my Torque Converter was start to die
