what have you already tried and then i can tell you what i could or couldnt do. oh ya if you show up at kents house for the local meet on saturday april 19th im sure i could look at it and if you wanted i could detail it for the club members price of 50 dollars on the spot. youd be suprised what i can do. but keep in mind i can only do so much if your clear coat is in bad shape.

btw ive never had to wetsand a car. besides wet sanding an already bad clear coated area is just going to remove whats left of your clear coat if you dont know how thin it already is so i wouldnt do that. if anything id just have it recleared.
All that work and all those mods mean nothing if your ride isnt clean

Just tried hand buffing and such. I'm about to buy a buffer for myself. Its been awhile since i've messed with it honestly. Anything i've done is long gone anyway. I've thrown wax on it before, doesn't help much though. Its been awhile since its had a good wax job.

As for the clearcoat I believe that part is good. Black cars just suck, upkeep sucks on them. This car paint wise wasn't perfect when we got it, but I believe its repairable with a lot of elbow grease (way more than i've done). You maybe able to do something with it, it won't be easy however. There are a few marks i'd like to get rid of or at least make better. Its a good looking car otherwise. I haven't done much to it outside lately because I planned on finding someone to clean it up a bit. I'm wondering if it needs to be claybarred? I've never done that before myself. The reason I mentioned wet sanding... I knew a guy with a black car and his paint was dull and ugly. After a complete wet sanding detail the car looked brand new. I can't remember how bad it was, but it took some work.

I don't think its bad enough to need a complete repaint, if anything just the front bumper and hood because of chips and such, the car was always a highway car up to 100,000 miles. Its got 133,000 now. I really don't want to mess with repainting it because nobody does good paint/body work anymore. Its hard to get anything done right. I'm thankful my car has good paint on it and the hood and spoiler were done right.

Either way we should be there. I was gonna take mine, but I suppose we'll take hers for you to work some magic. You can let me know what you can do, surely you can do seomthing with it. Yeah, i'll take u up on the offer.. I want to get seomthing done.

I just came in here to post that zainoman kicks ass. I guess I'll read the thread now.

edit: Read the thread, and two massive thumbs up for zainoman's work. Zaino I'll let you know when/if I get my front redone, lol. Send me a text or call if you think about it, I'm currently dating a girl who could do some great photography work for you if you want. She hasn't done cars but would likely take some shots for free to get the experience. She's pretty good, and still learning. Let me know.

Hey zaino, talked to the girl and was told she is always looking to add to her portfolio. Unless your friend has a very serious professional camera he won't be able to beat her, lol. A couple photographers were drooling over her lens lately. Anyway, she does good work.

    My car loves you
