Thread: 2010 FIRST Robotics Competitions: anyone heard of it?

well guys i am a mentor for my old high school's robotics team. Every year on the first or second saturday of january FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) releases a new game that high schools from around the world have 6 weeks to brainstorm, design, prototype, build and program. I will probably come back with some more details but here is the animation of this year's game they released today.

I'll post the rules up too once i find the link but i know of alot of them. Anyway guys, this is the beginning of 6 weeks of no life. I totally understand, our team is very much the same way. However I do feel like i make a good contribution to the team and that is why now as an alumni i am helping mentor through the season. Which year did you work with them?

I wasn't too involved that season. I did alot of work in 2007 and 2009. 2007 our team won the Purdue regional. Team #1730 Team Driven out of lee's summit
