I accidentally set the ebrake on a 2000 dodge durango and can't figure out how to get it off. Its a footbrake, and usually you jsut push it all the way down and it spans back up like on a gp right? This one just keeps locking more when you push it down. I looked around for some kind of release button or something but I can't find one, maybe I'm just an idiot or not looking in the right spot but its locked so far now the car isn't driveable till I get it off so any help/ideas would be appreciated.

If I remember right, its a big release "panel" looking thing right above the brake pedal. It looks like part of the dash I THINK.

OH ok I hope your right, theres a big panel but it fell off somehow and it's hanging down so I didn't wanna mess with it, that's the only thing I didn't look at I hope that's it.

Yeah there should be a release by the pedal in the dash. Some a tricky to see look close. How did you accidentally set it tho?

lol, that is probably it, if its right above where the ebrake pedal is. There should be a cable in there to pull. I'd say it broke off where it hinges. Remember, you're dealing with a chrysler product.

If all else fails crawl under the car and pull the cable with a pair of pliers.

Being an idiot just trying everything looking for the hood release. I even thought to myself in my head "This isn't it, it's the ebrake pedal", yet I pushed it anyway lol.

hahahaha, the hood release should be the black lever in the center, about in line with the brake pedal that says "HOOD". Idiot! kidding. The hood release lever is probably broke off too.

alll pre diamler-benz chrysler products = FAIL! Up until the merger with mercedes benz, if you found a chrysler product that didn't exactly blow your mind with the junk they sold, you were a complete 'tard, just like them. Then benz got involved and they improved on QUALITY. They are now decent vehicles.

Well this car was pretty much bought to be detailed and sold. I actually really like it, I'd keep it if it wasn't worth money lol
