Just curious, are you planning on building your own turbo setup or doing a kit? I've seriously thought about going this route, for years now infact. Seems like there are alot of headaches too. I don't know what i'll do.
I've been running the same basic setup since 2007 and i'm ready for something a little different. I'm still on my original 170,000 motor without any issues. Thinking of either going with an L36 and a heads/cam combo, or pull my motor, rebuild it with forged slugs, heads, cam, and maybe juice in the future. I really don't know what route I wanna go.
Hey guys, Lets say you are willing to spend 1k on your car and it is stock, What mods would u purchase?
I'm thinking a nice set of wheels and tires. Possible pcm/tune
What did u have in mind? I might put it back in the engine compartment. I noticed no difference in times when i ran with and without the driver side headlight.
there's 100 different opinions, but my cone filter goes sraight into the fender . it sticks in their about 4" or so. i don't think it would be a measurable difference if it is all the way down in the filter or just laying inside on the inside of fender. i thinks the biggest difference is not have corragated hoses and sharp bends. what i've read, keep it smooth and straight as POSSIBLE!
Yea, i have 4" pvc with hole drilled in for the sensor. My filter is completely in the fender well and i have insulation wrapper around the pvc and sealed the filter off from the engine bay compartment. I have not driven with the stock box hooked up ( which is in the garage ) so idk if there are gains or not lol
