Depending on what the problem ACTUALLY is, it could be a simple fix. Knocking to someone that doesn't know much about these engines could be the Supercharger Coupler. When I bought my 99 GTP they "forwarned" me that the certification check on it showed that the rear window regulators on both sides were bad, the driver power seat was stuck, and the engine was knocking and that the supercharger needed to be replaced (yes, they were going to replace the whole supercharger!).
I replaced 1 window regulator 3 yrs ago, the tech was hitting the lumbar switch and thought it was the seat adjustment, seat works perfectly, and I replaced the coupler and was golden until the lower bearings fubar'd
(1 year later).
So it MIGHT be worth a checkup. Could be a simple $50 fix for a $3000 steal of a car. Then again, could be a $500+ motor replacement, but even then, still could be worth it.
WOW Hate to change the plugs on 4107 cylinders !

I can tell by the black trim that that is a 91-93, so its not the car I first thought it was. Theres a guy with a Stealth that looks a lot like that one, but his is a 94 and he has a 440 down in it.
