Wonder how feasible it would be to put a L26 block in that...
How much is that thing worth in that condition, anyways? I feel this bad urge to learn about engines with that car, lol.
They're Cadillac projectors, I messaged him on FB about them. The back of the housing looks like nothing but electrical tape and RTV, he has H1 bulbs in them (they're 9006 housings), There is nothing holding the projectors in (they're stuffed in there), and there is no adjustments on them at all (other than the stock adjustments).
That comp g, i would give em 500$ for it. Without knowing the milage that is. If it has more than 170+ on it, im not sure if i would bother on it. Salvage title, blown engine, other problems may make you loose any money you put into it.
Yeah..., I've been emailing him and according to him its got 115k on it, he bought it in '08, and changed oil every 3,500 miles. If it had over 150k I wouldn't bother. I'm worried about northern MN rust, but he says it's rust free, eh...
I shouldn't buy more crap to spend time on, lol, but it would be a cool project for the summer. Could always part it out too...
Yeah, MN isn't good for cars. I had my 01 gt in it for one year, and i could see the rust form over one winter. In ND, they used sand, mn they use salt and it just rusts the cars up. I sprayed flex seal on the rockers after sanding them down a little bit, hope this winter it doesn't change any bit.
500$ for that car is a deal all the way around, if you plan on throwing a new l67 in it, i would say all-in, your at about 1000$, and you may get 2-3K for it if its in mint condition with the salvage title and a stupid buyer.

You know this is a bad deal when they don't even know the brand of car. Also if you look at pic 2, they either have like 500lb of crap in the trunk, or those struts towers are done. I'm going with strut towers seeing all the other rust on the car. Car is basically worthless.
I didn't read, just looked at pictures..Its trashed alright, probably drove it awhile only changing the oil every 5-10k miles.
Yeah..., but garage-kept and well cleaned does do wonders. Our '01 Town and Country we bought at 80k didn't start getting rusty until about 200k when we stopped parking it in the garage and it became a beater.
Title says clean, just salvage condition - that's a plus. It's just so tempting because it's my dream GP, lol, CompG with every option in black.
I was thinking put a L26 bottom end in it, so it'd be like a backwards top-swap, lol.
He said someone is coming to take a look at it this weekend, if that guy doesn't take it and he sends me some more pics and it looks alright I'll try offering him $650.
There's a lot of 'great' people on Craigslist who buy cars, friend of mine sold an '03 SE GP with over 170k miles that was rusty with a few major dents for $2,700. lol
