Thread: 04 gtp or 04 maxima?

I wanted to see where the debate would go!

I'm gonna post this:

I would choose GTP

Believe it or not the 6th gen Maxima is full of problems, granted the interior quality is better, thats about where it ends. I'll take the wheel bearing and LIM gasket eating problems over the more expensive Coilpack blowing, 3rd gear crunching, and other expensive problems. I know this thread is old but I thought I would throw this in here and say if your gonna buy a Maxima, make it a 6sp 02-03.

And to whoever said his GTP is still faster...not really. Bolt-on GTP (I/H/E, RR and pulley) vs 02-03 6sp (I/H/E, phenolic spacers, 3" exhaust and other small bolt-ons) an 02-03 maxima can womp a grand prix. 3,600lbs vs 3,100lbs. I just had a maxima on the maxima.org forums put down 290whp with just bolt-ons, we in the GTP are lucky if we can reach that with just bolt-ons and he still has room to get more power.
