wasn't sure where to post this so i'd figure why not here

got a 98 gtp and was thinking of putting flowmaster 44 delta flows on it. just was wondering how they would sound if anyone's got an idea. thanks for any help given.
1998 Grand Prix GTP Stock for now mods to come soon. Alpine 9885 head unit, 2 JLW3V2 10s, 2 Jensen 650x2 amps, and Tsunami wiring all the way around.

Your best bet is to attend a mod day or other GP gathering and listen to many systems. IMO a V6 sounds like crap, relatively speaking. The quieter the better.

When you listen to exhaust systems, keep in mind that certain mods (cam) will changed the sound a bit so what you hear on one car may not sound the same on your car. If you hear a system you like ask the right questions.

like he said^^^. if you just have the mufflers and no cam or other mods i don't think you will like how it sounds. you will never get that true V8 sound on a V6. mine is cam and sometime i hate that little raspiness i get.

Unless your exhaust is rusting out and has to be replaced performance wise you could wait. A 3" DP is a pretty common first mod and as you said CAI or FWI. The stock mufflers/catback isn't going to hurt you in the beginning.

Remember my exhaust from the modday? i have the 44 deltas, sound decent at idle, not bad at wot, but mid-throttle sounds like a spray paint can being shook....that and my small DP flange leak doesnt help any...

And spraying all that water inside after aciding my tips sounded funky too

what's that website with all the exhaust clips on it? I cant seem to find it anywhere

Agreed, when i take mine in to get the wheel bearing replaced, i'm getting my stockers put back on, i like loud and all, but i'd rather go back to stealth for a while...

here's a vid of the exhaust at idle with some revs, forgot i had it, i have another one somewhere, but yah, anything but idle is BAHHHHHHH, though i do like WOT, afterwards you get a good ROOOMMMMMM--BLAH from the backpressure

i like when i quickly accel in first and then let off completely and i get a good crackle out of the exhaust.

    i hate these mufflers though.

stock resonator? no. an aftermarket one or a glasspack? yes.

the stock resonator is pretty restrictive.

Is the stock resonator not a straight through smooth corrigated pipe the same diameter as the rest of the system?
