I agree on the headlights, they suck ass.
But I actually love the taillights on these cars, idk why, don't get why anyone buys those stupid altezzas though they look so stupid, unless you tint them, but that kinda defeats the purpose I guess.
I like my interior, except I'll agree with you on the door panels and the dash, the dash is really annoying at idle cuz it rattles, but then again it's got high miles.
My trans is actually holding up pretty well with all the new power I've been throwing at it, so no complaints there, yet.
There is nothing wrong with the 4t65e
I'll agree with the door panels, they're made from tin foil.
I've never had so many water problems with a sunroof before, leaking from the cracked assembly, rolling down the passenger pillar and then puddling on the floor, for around 1 year. My fix was a sunroof from a monte carlo, and it fixed everything
[QUOTE=wickedintent79;and the power steering rack is junk i have yet to see a gp with some miles on it with out a leaking rack[/QUOTE]
Mine has 123,300 miles and i haven't come across that issue.
What i don't like about our cars are the headlights when they get foggy and the lack of volt and oil pressure gauges. Would be nice if it was RWD also. A little more horsepower would be nice too. Oh, and the back seats should fold down instead of just the middle part.
Other than that, i love the GP!

No one mentioned the cars eat wheel bearings yet, I replaced one at 34k miles and yesterday I hit a bump and my ABS shut off so now another wheel bearing needs replaced since a sensor is bad somewhere.
121k and I had to replace rack/pump both at 120k.
I also hate where the power steering resevoir is at.. Was constantly in there before I had the rack and pump replaced.
Funny about 3/4 of the issues posted here I haven't had with either of my GPs....
Anyway my only complants which is few and far between on these cars since I think GM did pretty good overall... I wish it was RWD and I wish the cluster came factory with Oil pressure and Volts gauge factory....
mostly, the interior i dont like. it looks nice, but my window controls came out of the door, and the right side windows wont go down (they will go up) with the driver controls. and the backlight is out on the radio clock.
FWD has pros and cons. these werent made to be sports cars. i live in nebraska so its great in the snow, although not as fun as my S10 but i have a GT so im not as worried about traction as other people.
I havent had this problem but my cousin just brought it up...I sold my 01' to my aunt and after her having it about 3 months she had to replace the CV-Axel...and so far she has had it replaced two times. Also her daughter (my cousin) has a 00' she has had since 03 and she has had to replace hers like 6-8 times! Someone said its due to them driving on gravel/ruff roads. Anyone else have that problem?
