this year, the first year, ONLY the SRT is being offered, the SRT motor is the 6.1, not the base model...

    Oh alright.

So is the Camaro gonna get the LS2, LS3, LS7, or LS9

They should make each one an option, like back in the 60s, have 4 or 5 different engines.

v8, cars too heavy for the 6 (the 4th gen was really too heavy in my opinion, and this one will be heavier)

V6's take to mods great. I m in this V6 club and their are some of the fastest V6 Camaro's I have seen that would kill a V8 in a drag race

yes but to get the same power from the 6 requires more work and money than the 8, and you get worse mileage (most of the guys on my Camaro boards get the same with their 6's as the v8 guys) figure the 4th gen was the heaviest ever f body, and the new one is supposed to weigh even more, not worth the risk to me (not to mention 400 hp stock compared to 300 is a bonus)

    Love my V8's
IMO they shouldn't make a sports car with a V6. I think they are going to make the new Camaro's so expensive that no one will be able to afford them. Troy is hell bent on getting a new Camaro though. He wants to sell my truck. Over my dead body. It seams like everyone has a Mustang. (most of em being V6's around here) But I'm sure that even if you want just a "cheap" Camaro, they'll rack up the price. Any ideas on the price tags?

In one of the mags I read they said since in 2020 all American auto makers have to have a total of a 35 mpg average. Because of this their will be less v8's Ford said they will have more turbo 4's and 6's. The 6's will have just as much if not more hp and better fuel millage by about 2 miles to the gallon. So ya because of this the V8 will die.

I liked the other photos of the G8's in the wagon and UTE. Lookin pretty sharp. I am not sure about that "green" G8 though. That color just does not look right to me.
